Getting Started
Congratulations on choosing Bondware/PHP, the most powerful website authoring tool available.

Managing a Bondware site is easy. All you will need is your web browser and about 30 minutes. Follow the simple steps below to initially configure your site.

1. If you have a printer attached to your computer, scroll to the bottom of this page and click the "Printer-friendly format" link. Print the resulting page and use it as a reference for the remaining steps. Click the "Back" button in your browser to return to Bondware.

2. Look for the 'Login' link on the left side of this page. The first thing you should do is login with username 'admin' and password 'admin'.

3. Look for the 'My Profile' link on the sidebar and change the password on the administrator account. This will prevent other people from accessing the administrative portion of your site. Your password should be something you can remember, but not obvious to anyone trying to guess your password. Some combination of letters and numbers is usually best for this purpose.

4. You should now have an 'Admin' link at the top right of your web page. Select the 'Admin' button to enter the administrative back-end for your site.

5. You are now in the Administrative portion of the site. All changes you make here will affect how the front-end (the public site) operates. The navigation bar on your right reflects the major administration areas. The yellow area near the top of the page reflects those options which are available to your in the current area. By default, you will start in the major area named 'Preferences'. This is the area for managing the look-and-feel of the site as a whole.

6. Once you have completed your 'Preferences', you are now ready to start bringing your site to life by adding content which is meaningful to your target audience. The most common place to start is the area entitled 'Articles/Sections'. Using this area, you can start to publish articles and graphics immediately. Your next step may be the 'Sidebar' which lets you place custom links on the sidebar of each page. Need more sidebar space? 'Sidebar2' lets you place another sidebar on the opposite side of each page.

7. This is a good start to creating a dynamic website for your business. You may want to study some more Bondware tutorials at to learn more.

8. Once you are comfortable with Bondware, please return to the Home page and read the "Next Steps" article for information on other optional services which may enhance your e-business.
